Ministerial Offerings & Rites of Passage Ceremonies
These sacred rituals and ceremonies are tailored for our members and are meant to help them transition into new phases of life. Rites initiations bring about an embodied sense of awareness and feeling of being resourced while moving into new developmental stages and roles in our lives. Our rites carry forward the traditional ways of "the village", meaning we understand and put emphasis on the collective's awareness and presence during the ritual or ceremony.
Every part of a whole is needed for the success of the whole, because of this it is important that the loved ones and facilitators present during these sacred times show up in the spirit of the rite of passage, and the success of the honoree(s).
Some of the rites that are available through Sacred Wisdoms are:
Womb Risings- These ceremonies are available for first pregnancies and subsequent pregnancies alike, and are personalized to the preferences of the mother (to be). These are the rites of passage that emphasize the circle. A combining of energy that supports, honors, nurtures and encourages mothers whose wombs are rising. There is an option for personalization for mothers to be who are not carrying their child, whether that be adoption, step-parenting, those who have a surrogate mother, etc. These are called Mother Risings.
Baby Naming/Baby Blessings- These ceremonies are for all children and range from celebrating a newborn, welcoming a new adoptive/step child, official naming, name-changing, and/or recognizing other adults who will play important spiritual roles in the child's life.
First Moon Rites- These ceremonies can start well before a first menses or shortly thereafter. They are designed to honor and celebrate the sacred knowing that is held within the body. We are weaving remembrance back into the consciousness of youth and the collective conscious as a whole. Remembrance of blood, body, creation, and deep inner knowing. Ancient knowing. The honoree can start attending sacred circles with a parent or with the permission of a parent before the first menses so as to be prepared and more intimately aware of the magickal and beautiful change soon to come, and the First Moon Rites that will follow, or they can have a ceremony crafted for them anytime shortly after the first menses without having been part of a circle. These rites are completely personalized to meet the needs of the honoree and family.
Divine Life Rites- These are rites of passage for those who are stepping into personalized initiations. These are crafted by the honoree and a Priestess of Sacred Wisdoms, and can encompass things such as trauma healing, the death of a loved one, existential crisis, calling renewal (Song Calling), or any other life transition that can be supported by sacred ritual.
Crone Rites- These ceremonies close out the Maiden, Mother, Queen and Crone ceremonies, with a focus on the sacred nature of the cycle inherent in perimenopausal, menopausal, and postmenopausal honorees.
Marriage- These ceremonies are ecclesiastical in nature rather than civil, which means that they are not of the state but rather a contract between the honorees, their spiritual practices, and the officiant. These ceremonies, like all the others, are crafted to illuminate the rite of passage of the honorees in ways that feel aligned and perfect for the couple. Ecclesiastical marriages are lawful and acknowledged just as marriages always have been before the local/state/federal governments perpetrated their over-reach.
Death Rites/Death Companioning- At this time these ceremonies are only offered before death, meaning that a Priestess from Sacred Wisdoms companions the one who is transitioning for a time and acts as spiritual support for the one transitioning and the living alike, before and after death. Death Companioning and Death Rites are crafted to meet the needs of the one who is transitioning and their family.
